Melbourne-based jewellery brand Georgini has launched a new collection called the Commonwealth Collection as a tribute to Australian athletes and will be made available through its jewellery and retail partners nationwide.
Australian Olympic athlete Ellie Beer is the ambassador for the collection, with marketing efforts centred around the theme ‘Empowered To Shine.’
“Australian’s love nothing more than joining with their mates and cheering on their favourite team and sports stars,” Melinda Carey, creative director, Georgini said.
“From local footy fields to the vast stadiums of the world the impact and learning from a team environment and commitment to what it takes to be a champion offers invaluable life lessons.”
The collection features assorted gold and green coloured jewellery pieces crafted from 925 sterling silver and cubic zirconia, with a price range of $89 to $249.
“At Georgini, we purposefully choose to push the boundaries in impactful design. Jewellery is a beautiful gift and gifts with purpose and meaning are precious,” Carey said, noting that the collection is a “testament to our commitment to not only give back to break down the barriers of what fashion can achieve and inspire.”
Beer, who will compete at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, said of the campaign, “I am beyond grateful to be surrounded by amazing people who inspire me to go out on the track with confidence, as well as encourage and help those around me.”
“The main reason I love running is because I enjoy it. I always turn up to training and races with the biggest smile on my face, mainly due to my beautiful peers and support crew producing a positive atmosphere,” she added.
A portion of the sale will be donated to support Australian athletes. Georgini is distributed by West End Collection.
