Australian jewellery retailer Michael Hill International has wound back the clock to the origins of the business with the launch of a new marketing campaign.
In order to celebrate a new bridal range, Michael Hill has released a three-minute film that documents the relationship between Sir Michael and Lady Christine Hill.
The film begins with their first meeting in 1964 through to their wedding and includes the opening of the first Michael Hill store in 1979.
Michael Hill chief marketing officer Jo Feeney said the history of the business is as important as ever.
“We are showcasing the care, craft, and passion behind the jewelry we sell,” she said.
“That passion and expertise continues within our business today, both our design team and our Australian manufacturing team continue to evolve and elevate the jewelry we create.”
The campaign was filmed in New Zealand and launched worldwide earlier this week.
Michael Hill is based in Brisbane and in mid-July announced strong sales revenue for the past financial year, rising 7.3 per cent. Despite the impact of the COVID pandemic, the business has recorded an uptrend in 12 consecutive quarters.
Michael Hill International is listed both in the ASX and NZX and operates 280 stores throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
